Thornton & Ross Ltd is pleased to announce that it has completed the purchase today of the earwax treatment ‘Cerumol’ from Laboratories for Applied Biology Ltd (LAB Ltd). Cerumol is a long established brand with a loyal customer base in the UK, and a number of export markets, most notably Canada, Australia, Ireland and South Africa.

The purchase includes all intellectual property, trade marks, and stocks relating to the brand. Thornton & Ross will take over the sales, distribution and marketing of the brand with immediate effect. All orders for these products should be directed to the Customer Service team at Thornton & Ross. LAB Ltd will be forwarding details of all outstanding orders to Thornton & Ross for delivery and invoicing. Thornton & Ross will be communicating directly with all existing Cerumol customers in order to ensure a smooth transition of the business.

Commenting on the purchase, Dieno George the Chief Executive of Thornton & Ross said that the purchase would add to the company’s growing range of well known consumer brands, and would further boost the company’s presence in export markets, adding that Cerumol would build on, and benefit from, the company’s considerable strength and experience of manufacturing pharmaceutical liquid and cream products.

Thornton & Ross Ltd are based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and produce a number of medicinal and household products, including Covonia cough medicines, Hedrin, a novel treatment for head lice, and Zoflora the leading household floral disinfectant.
